In 2024 the attendants of ’10. Forum Architekturwissenschaften‘ in Dessau had the honour of getting a small glimpse into my Super Secret Diary, in which I recorded all trials and tribulations of my first year of working as an architect in the professional field.
This fictional diary served as a means of personal reflection about the transition from an educational institution to the corporate world and their respective notions of what it means to do architecture, what paradigms they operate under and how designing and drawing plans is only one part of a profession that requires so much more. Spanning over one year, from an optimistic start to a disappointing layoff, through fights with bosses and first client presentations I offer not only a personal perspective, but also deep insights into the ‚Re/production Conditions of Architecture‘.
